Southern Germany Road Trip: Exploring Bavaria, Neuschwanstein, and the Black Forest

Hey everyone! My partner and I are planning a 10-day road trip through Southern Germany next autumn, starting in Munich and hopefully hitting Neuschwanstein Castle and the Black Forest. We want to balance iconic sights with some lesser-known fairytale towns, but we aren't sure if we are trying to cover too much ground in too little time. Does anyone have a recommended itinerary or tips for renting a car and driving through these regions? Any hidden gems along this route would be hugely appreciated!

Ten days is definitely doable for Munich, Neuschwanstein, and the Black Forest, but it will be a packed schedule! I recommend spending 2 days in Munich, renting your car on the way out toward Füssen, and then heading west.
